The Bulgarian Youth Delegates to the UN Maria Badeva and Angel Mitkov presented their activities for the period January – April 2022. Their briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in the presence of Ambassador Valeri Yotov, Director of the UN and Cooperation for Development Directorate, and Ambassador Vladimir Sotirov, President of the United Nations Association of Bulgaria.

Minister Genchovska met with King Felipe VI of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez

King Felipe VI of Spain received minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska at an audience at the Zarzuela Palace. Our first diplomat is in Madrid as part of the official Bulgarian delegation led by President Rumen Radev. Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the cooperation in the field of joint building of defence capabilities, as well as the expansion of the bilateral economic relations in biotechnology, agriculture and tourism.

On 27 April 2022, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. On the Bulgarian side the consultations were led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Vasil Georgiev, and on the Azerbaijani side – by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Mr Khalaf Khalafov.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Gencovska held a meeting with Donika Gërvalla, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo. The conversation took place in the framework of the forum “EU Meets the Balkans”, organised by the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in the European Parliament (ALDE), the European Liberal Forum and the Atlantic Club, which took place on 26 April in Sofia.
