Minister Georgiev discussed new opportunities for cooperation with his counterpart from Argentina

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, discussed with his counterpart from Argentina, Gerardo Werthein, new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting took place during the Munich conference at the initiative of Minister Georgiev. It is part of Bulgaria's efforts to maintain its positions in Latin America and to consolidate the traditionally good bilateral relations with Argentina.

Minister Georgiev invited his counterpart to visit Bulgaria and reaffirmed the invitation from the presidential institution for a visit by the President of Argentina, Javier Miley, to our country.

With this, Minister Georgiev once again stated the desire of the Bulgarian side to maintain an active political dialogue at high and highest level.

Artificial intelligence and the progress of individual countries in its development and use, as well as cooperation in the field of traditional spheres - trade and investment, culture, education and science, scientific research and innovation, agriculture, tourism and others were also among the topics discussed.

The Bulgarian Foreign Minister thanked Argentina for the valuable assistance provided to the Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions over the years.

"There is great potential for further development of the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and Argentina in the field of research related to Antarctica, climate change and other current global problems," said Minister Georgiev.

Minister Werthein thanked for the invitation and stated that Bulgaria remains among Argentina's traditionally good partners.
