Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that all Bulgarian citizens in the affected countries: Israel, Iran, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, to remain in safe places, not to undertake risky attempts to leave the country via its land borders, and to strictly follow the instructions of the local authorities.

Minister Nadezhda Neynski held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, during which they discussed the situation in Iran and its neighboring countries. The two countries agreed on their concern about the possibility of internal political instability and chaos in Iran. Minister Neynski expressed her gratitude for Turkey's efforts to limit migration pressure on Europe, both during the conflict in Syria and at present.

Every effort has been made to convince Islamic Republic of Iran that the international community cannot accept the development of its nuclear programme, as well as its troubling missile production.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In connection with the ongoing military escalation between State of Israel and Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria is monitoring the situation on a 24-hour basis. Upon the instruction of Nadezhda Neynsky, a Crisis Task Force has been established. The Ministry is maintaining constant contact with all Bulgarian diplomatic missions in the region, as well as with its partners and allies.
