EU General Affairs Council meeting in Brussels
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova represented Bulgaria at the regular meeting of the EU General Affairs Council, held today in Brussels. The agenda included preparations for the European Council meeting on 21—22 March, the European Semester and a discussion on the future of Europe.

The 81st anniversary of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews and the memory of the Jews who died in the Nazi death camps were commemorated with an official ceremony and a March of Tolerance ‘We Remember’ in Sofia. ‘The march has become an annual expression of the Bulgarian people's aspiration for freedom, equality, humanity and harmonious coexistence, regardless of ethnicity and religion,’ said the congratulatory message on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel, read to the audience by Deputy Minister Elena Shekerletova, who took part in the ceremony.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel was a keynote speaker at the international conference ‘EmpowerHer: Elevate to Excellence’, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (ACC) in partnership with European Female Founders on the occasion of International Women's Day. EmpowerHer is a global initiative of the American Chambers in Europe that promotes women's entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
