Deputy Minister Elena Shekerletova received the copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay

On 4 November 2024, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Alberto Antonio Rodríguez Goñi, to Bulgaria, based in Bucharest, Romania, presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elena Shekerletova.
During the meeting, the good cooperation between Bulgaria and Uruguay was noted, both bilaterally and in the framework of international organisations and fora, including the EU-LAC partnership. A readiness was expressed to intensify the bilateral political dialogue between Bulgaria and Uruguay and to expand cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, with emphasis on issues related to scientific research in Antarctica.
Deputy Minister Shekerletova wished Ambassador Rodríguez Goñi a successful mission in our country and shared her confidence that his work in Bulgaria would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in a number of priority areas.
