Bulgaria does not owe explanations for its sovereign decisions to third parties
The comment of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Rogozin, on the intentions of the Bulgarian government to replace outdated Russian warplanes is utterly unacceptable. Bulgaria is a sovereign state that takes independent decisions related to its security. They are not subject to review by senior representatives of other countries.

Bulgaria provides military assistance to Iraq
On 18 September, the Council of Ministers adopted a decree on the conditions and procedures for the provision of emergency military assistance to the Iraqi government. The military aid - nearly 1,800 pieces of small arms and light weapons and six million rounds of ammunition - is provided by the Ministry of Defense. The military surplus donation is worth nearly BGN 5 960 000.
