Statement in connection with the terrorist attacks in Kabul on 27 and 29 January 2018

We strongly condemn the massive terrorist act in Kabul, perpetrated on 28 January 2018, as a result of which numerous innocent people were killed and injured, as well as today’s all-out attack on a military post near the Marshal Fahim National Military Academy in the Afghan capital.
We share the anguish of the bereaved and wish speedy recovery of the wounded.
We categorically declare that no cause whatsoever can justify such brutal acts.
Bulgaria appreciates the efforts of the Afghan authorities to achieve reconciliation, lasting peace and development of Afghanistan and will continue to provide support to this end.
