Minister Mitov and Minister Szijjártó discussed bilateral relations, energy security and migration crisis
Minister Daniel Mitov held a meeting today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, who is paying an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart. The two diplomats reaffirmed the traditionally good Bulgarian-Hungarian relations and agreed to strengthen the bilateral cooperation, guarantee energy security and step up efforts to deal with the migration crisis.

The Republic of Bulgaria strongly condemns today's terrorist attack in Istanbul.
I extend my most sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims, including foreign nationals, and I wish a speedy recovery to those injured. I would like also to express solidarity with the grief of those affected by the blast in Turkey.

We are deeply concerned by the news that the DPRK has carried out a nuclear test on January 6, 2016. If the statement is confirmed, a fourth nuclear test would be a drastic violation of resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) and 2094 (2013) of the UN Security Council and the safeguards agreement with the IAEA.

NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs invite Montenegro to join the Alliance
NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs decided to invite Montenegro to join the Alliance. The decision was taken on December 2, 2015 at a meeting of the North Atlantic Council in NATO Headquarters in Brussels and it triggers the start of accession talks in early 2016.
