Deputy Minister Velislava Petrova chairs a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Mechanism for Bulgaria’s accession to the OECD
On 25 August 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting of the Permanent Inter-Ministerial Coordination Mechanism (IMC) for the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This is the first meeting of the ICM after the adoption of Decree No 242 of 11 August 2022, which strengthened and further developed the coordination mechanism in connection with the start of the talks on Bulgaria’s accession to the OECD.

Minister Milkov received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid bin Kamal Faqih. The focus of the meeting was Ambassador Faqih’s readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of energy: “Saudi Arabia is ready to hold talks for the supply of oil and natural gas to Bulgaria.” Minister Milkov thanked the Ambassador and noted that the ways and means for its implementation should be jointly explored.
