Bulgaria Assumes the Rotating Chairmanship of the SEECP

Today, in Tirana, Bulgaria officially assumed the Chairmanship-in-Office of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) from Albania for the period from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 2026.

This marks the fourth time that Bulgaria will hold the Chairmanship of the Process. At the concluding meeting of foreign ministers under the Albanian chairmanship, Bulgaria was represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova.

Bulgaria has consistently demonstrated its commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, supporting European integration, and fostering the sustainable development of Southeast Europe.

Under the motto “A Compass for Stability, Security, and Sustainability,” the Bulgarian Chairmanship will focus on key priorities such as connectivity, energy security, economic resilience, and investment in human capital, with a vision for a more connected, green, and prosperous region.
