Minister Kristian Vigenin awards the golden badge of honor to Prof. Alexander Yankov
At a ceremony held today, Minister Kristian Vigenin awarded the golden badge of honor to one of the most prominent Bulgarian jurists, Professor Alexander Yankov. Theaward of the MFA is awarded to Professor Yankov for his outstanding contribution to the development of the Bulgarian diplomatic service, and on occasion of his 90 year anniversary.

NATO Foreign Ministers discussed Ukraine, Afghanistan, the partnerships and the Open Door policy
Minister Kristian Vigenin participated in the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, held on 24-25 June in Brussels. The agenda included talks on the preparations for the NATO Summit in Wales, focusing on Ukraine, Afghanistan and the NATO partnerships.

EU Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their support for the efforts of the newly elected Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko to find a lasting solution to the crisis in Ukraine. At the Foreign Affairs Council, held today in Luxembourg, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin presented President’s peace plan to ceasefire and take concrete steps to reduce tensions and restore peace and security in East Ukraine.
