Political consultations between Bulgaria and Indonesia were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The fourth round of political consultations between the MFA of Bulgaria and Indonesia were held today in Sofia. From Bulgarian side, the consultations were led by Deputy  Foreign Minister Todor Churov, and from the Indonesian – by Mr. Dian Triansyah Djani, Directorate General of American and European Affairsin the Foreign Ministry of Indonesia, with the rank of Deputy Minister. During the talks the state and the prospects of the development of the bilateral relations were discussed. The forthcoming sending of Bulgarian Ambassador to Jakarta was evaluated as a sign of the importance we attach to the relations with Indonesia and a prerequisite for intensification of the bilateral contacts in a wide range of areas. They shared a common desire to strengthen the dialogue in the political sphere and to identify specific aspects of the trade and economic relations. The prospects in the field of  tourism, education, the contacts between people in both countries, sports, etc. were distinguished. They also exchanged views on regional issues - the integration processes in Southeast Asia, the situation in the Middle East, the European perspective of the countries of the Balkan region and others.

During his visit, Directorate General Djani held talks with Mr. Rosen Rufev , Head of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and delivered a lecture on "Indonesia 's foreign policy and its relations with the ASEM countries", organized by the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
