Ministry of Foreign Affairs Participates in Asian Cultural Festival
The "Pastri Shevitsi" dance troupe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in this year’s edition of the Asian Cultural Festival, held for the fifth time in Sofia with the support of 11 Asian embassies accredited to Bulgaria.
The MFA troupe performed four different traditional folk dances, which were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The event, held last week, became a cultural highlight for both residents and visitors of the Bulgarian capital.

Minister Georg Georgiev Meets with France’s High Commissioner for Strategic Planning Clément Beaune
Within the framework of the 20th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague, Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev held a meeting with the High Commissioner for Strategic Planning of France, Mr Clément Beaune.
The two officials discussed matters related to defence and security, the current and future development of the European Union, and prospects for its enlargement.
Minister Georgiev noted that the series of recent crises, including the war in Ukraine and rising tensions in the Middle East, have led to a profound shift in the global security architecture.

Minister Georg Georgiev Meets with Czech Counterpart Jan Lipavský
"Accession to the OECD is a key foreign policy priority of the Bulgarian government. We rely on the strong support of the Czech Republic and other EU member states within the OECD for our country’s accession to the Organisation," said Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev during a meeting with his Czech counterpart, Mr Jan Lipavský.
The meeting took place within the framework of the 20th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague.

Georg Georgiev: Bulgaria Remains a Consistent Supporter of Montenegro’s European Integration
Within the framework of the GLOBSEC International Security Forum, taking place in Prague from 12 to 14 June 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr Georg Georgiev, held a bilateral meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart, Ms Maida Gorčević.
During the discussion, Minister Georgiev emphasised that Bulgaria has consistently supported Montenegro’s European perspective and acknowledges the progress achieved by the country since the formation of its current government in October 2023.
