Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev participated in the High-Level Segment during the opening of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
In his speech, Minister Georgiev drew attention to the ever-increasing importance of the protection and promotion of human rights in today's world, marked by devastating conflicts, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss, the rapid introduction of new technologies, and deepening inequalities.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, participated via video conference in a special high-level meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, organised by the Finnish Chairmanship of the organisation on 24 February 2025, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine. In his speech, Minister Georgiev condemned Russia's gross violation of the UN Charter and the OSCE principles and commitments, the continued attacks against civilians and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, as well as Russia's systematic violations of international humanitarian law
