Ekaterina Zaharieva: The EU should persevere with the efforts for signing an investment agreement with China

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva highlighted China’s importance as a strategic partner to the EU and also as an economic competitor. She called for the setting of clear and attainable goals in the cooperation with China, as well as for equal access for European goods and companies to the domestic market.

The Foreign Ministries of Bulgaria and Kyrgyzstan held political consultations

Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kyrgyz Republic were held at the level of Deputy Ministers on 29 May via videoconferencing. Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Petko Doykov held the consultations on the Bulgarian side, while Azizbek Madmarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, represented the Kyrgyz side.
