Deputy Prime Minister for the judicial reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria presents today the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian aid before the members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Development (DEVE). The hearing is part of the inter-institutional dialogue between the Council and the Parliament.

Ekaterina Zaharieva to participate in a Foreign Affairs Council meeting
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva will take part in a Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Brussels on 22 January 2018. The meeting will be preceded by an informal breakfast with European Investment Bank (EIB) President Werner Hoyer, focusing on the establishment of a Development Branch within the EIB.

Bulgaria will host for first time the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM XXXVIII) as well as the XVIII Meeting of the Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP). Visit of Minister Daniel Mitov to Romania
Minister Daniel Mitov will pay a working visit to Romania on 19-20 February. On the first day of his visit, the Foreign Minister will meet with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu. They will discuss the current state of bilateral relations, regional cooperation and cooperation within the EU, as well as topical issues on the international agenda.
