Minister Daniel Mitov to participate in the Informal "Gymnich" Meeting of EU Foreign Ministers
06 March 2015 - 07 March 2015 Diplomatic CalendarMinister Daniel Mitov will participate in the informal "Gymnich" meeting of EU Foreign Ministers which will be held on 6-7 March in Riga under the Latvian Presidency of the EU.
On March 6, EU top diplomats will focus on the crisis in Ukraine and the relations with Russia, and will discuss the preparation of the Eastern Partnership Summit. The working lunch will be devoted to the latest developments of the situation in Libya.
On the second day of the meeting, ministers will discuss the challenges from the neighboring regions with the participation of the EU candidate countries. Foreign Ministers will make an assessment of the European neighborhood policy and a strategic review for formulating a new European Security Strategy.
