The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the Protocol of the First meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission under Art. 12 of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighbourliness and Cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia, held on June 10, 2019
In accordance with the provisions of the Protocol of the Second meeting under Art. 12 of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighbourliness and Cooperation, signed on July 17, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on its official page the Protocol of the First meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission under Art. 12, held on June 10, 2019.

Minister Nikolay Milkov met with the Ambassador of Austria
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Milkov, today received the Ambassador of Austria to our country, Andrea Vike, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Emphasis in the meeting was placed on the traditionally friendly bilateral relations. A detailed review was also made of the contribution of Ambassador Andrea Vicke, who will soon leave Bulgaria for good, to the activation of the partnership between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest during her mandate.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostadin Kodzhabashev accepted copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Bulgaria, Gazi Hamed Farhan Al Fadli. During the meeting, the two discussed the potential for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

In connection with the serious accident on the Trakia highway, where a bus from the Republic of Serbia overturned, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that it is in contact with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as with the authorities of the neighbouring country. The Ministry has also informed the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bulgaria about the case.

"The accession of Bulgaria to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is the most serious integration effort of our country after our admission to the EU and NATO". This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Milkov at a press conference in the Council of Ministers. The Government adopted today at its meeting a Draft Decree on the organization and coordination of the process of talks and preparatory activities for the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
