The ministers of foreign affairs of Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece and Romania met on the margins of the SEECP Summit held on 1 June in Sofia.
As representatives of EU Member States from the region they agreed to hold regular informal exchange of views and discussions on areas of common interest with the purpose of contributing to the European policies.

Bulgaria and Croatia agreed joint positions on migrant crisis, EU enlargement, Schengen membership
“The coordinated positions of Bulgaria and Croatia and of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe are of priority importance in coping with the challenges facing the EU,” Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said during the talks with his Croatian counterpart Miro Kovač. The meeting took place within the two-day official visit of Minister Mitov to the Republic of Croatia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov met with Elmar Brok, Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs. The talks focused on the migration crisis in Europe, the situation in Syria and Libya, and the EU-Turkey agreement. Minister Mitov shared with Mr. Brok the results of the meeting of the foreign and interior ministers in Thessaloniki, Greece last week.

The talks took place within the official visit of Minister Mitov to Berlin.The two chief diplomats discussed bilateral relations, the migrant crisis, EU-Turkey relations, energy matters, the situation in Ukraine, the crisis in the Middle East and North Africa, the fight against Daesh, and the current situation in the countries of the Western Balkans.
