Bulgaria provides humanitarian aid for Afghanistan landslide victims

Bulgaria provides humanitarian aid to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the victims of the devastating landslides in the province of Badakhshan on 2 May 2014. The aid is worth 32 800 levs and includes 50 tents, provided by the Fire Safety and Protection of Population Service to the Ministry of Interior, and 200 blankets, provided by the Bulgarian Red Cross.
On 14 June, the aid was transported to the city of Kandahar with the assistance of the Joint Forces Command of the Bulgarian Army and Ministry of Defence. The provision of humanitarian aid to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was organized with the active participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aid will be delivered to the local authorities by the Bulgarian military contingent in Afghanistan.
