Foreign Minister presented certificates to graduates of the 10th Consular Diplomacy course

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is often assessed through the work of the consular staff, because you are the face of the MFA. Your commitment and willingness to help the Bulgarian citizens abroad builds the perception towards the institution. With these words Minister Kristian Vigenin addressed the graduates of the tenth Consular Diplomacy course, organized by the Diplomatic Institute and the Consular Relations Directorate, who received their certificates at the official ceremony today.
Minister Vigenin congratulated the participants who successfully passed the tenth Consular Diplomacy course for their efforts, as well as the organizers for the excellent work. He presented certificates to six participants who completed the course with full honors.
The course is designed for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who in 2014 will take positions as consuls and technical staff in the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Bulgaria abroad, as well as for representatives of the departments and institutions related to consular issues. In the training participated sixty one participants and they successfully passed examination before a MFA committee.
During the training the participants were acquainted with the major international and national documents - the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations, the Schengen acquis, the Law on foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as visa policy and practice, refugees and migration problems, legalization of documents and a number of other problems. The training also included practical sessions related to the work of the National Visa Information System, Bulgarian identity documents, civil status, certification and legalization of documents, the main problems of Bulgarians abroad.
