Ambassador Ivan Sirakov presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Slovenia

Bulgaria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Slovenia, Dr. Ivan Sirakov, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, on September 9. After the ceremony, President Pahor and Ambassador Sirakov discussed the bilateral relations and expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. They also discussed the developments in the Middle East and North Africa and in particular the crisis in Syria.

The ceremony, chaired by Mrs. Ksenija Benedetti, Chief of the Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia, was attended by Mrs. Natasha Kovač - Secretary General ofthe Presidential Administration, Dr. Alja Brglez - Headof the Cabinet of the President, Mr. Marco Makovec - Advisor to the President on foreign affairs, Ambassador Bogdan Benko - Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Vojislav Šuc, head of the "Diplomatic protocol".
