Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivanka Tasheva Meets Newly Appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia Metka Lajnšček

Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivanka Tasheva received copies of the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Metka Lajnšček.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Tasheva and Ambassador Lajnšček reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further developing constructive cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and within the EU, NATO and international organisations.

A shared desire was expressed to maintain an active bilateral political dialogue and to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, tourism, energy, scientific and technological cooperation, among others.

Current issues on the EU agenda were discussed, including the similar positions of the two countries, both members of the Friends of Cohesion group, regarding the next Multiannual Financial Framework.
