Coordination Centre Established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Response to the Situation in the Middle East

By order of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr Rosen Zhelyazkov, and under the direct leadership of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Georg Georgiev, a Coordination Centre has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
The purpose of the Centre is to monitor developments in real time, to maintain constant communication with the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Bulgaria in the region, and to coordinate actions with other competent institutions in order to ensure the safety of Bulgarian citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains in close contact with international partners and is monitoring all aspects of the situation, including potential risks to Bulgarian nationals and interests.
We call on all Bulgarian citizens in the affected areas to stay in contact with the nearest diplomatic mission of the Republic of Bulgaria and to follow the instructions of local authorities and the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry recommends that Bulgarian citizens in countries across the affected region who require assistance contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through one of the following communication channels:
