The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Elena Shekerletova, received copies of the letters of credence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Mr Chea Chanboribo.
During their meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the traditionally good relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, which have a history spanning more than half a century. They conveyed a shared desire to intensify political dialogue. D readiness was expressed for cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, tourism, culture, and education. The importance of collaboration between Bulgaria and Cambodia within multilateral UN formats was also emphasised, particularly in the context of the EU-ASEAN strategic partnership, including mutual support for candidacies.
