Deputy Minister Maria Angelieva Received Copies of the Letters of Credence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Her Excellency Ms. Hilde Svartdal Lunde

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Bulgaria, resident in Bucharest, Her Excellency Ms. Hilde Svartdal Lunde, presented copies of her letters of credence to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Maria Angelieva, on 18 March 2025.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed regarding the fruitful cooperation both bilaterally and within international organisations. The role of the financial instruments of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, which contribute to the implementation of important projects in Bulgaria, was also discussed. Both sides agreed on the desire to strengthen partnerships in areas such as innovation, digitisation, scientific research and the creation of conditions for the development of start-up businesses. It was noted that there is untapped potential for deepening trade and economic relations.
Particular attention was devoted to the current geopolitical challenges related to the war in Ukraine, and the need for united efforts to strengthen European security and stability was highlighted.
