Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev Opens Photo Exhibition Dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between Bulgaria and Vietnam

Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev opened a photo exhibition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam.  

In his welcoming speech at the opening of the exhibition, the Minister emphasized that Vietnam is a priority partner for Bulgaria in Southeast Asia. He stressed that over the past 75 years, our two nations have built relations based on friendship, trust, and mutual respect. "We are proud of the rich history of our bilateral relations, which provides a solid platform for progress towards a strategic partnership," Minister Georgiev pointed out and noted that the many Vietnamese citizens who studied and worked in Bulgaria in the 1970s and 1980s and now serve as a valuable bridge between our countries. "Our cooperation continues to grow both bilaterally and within the framework of the EU-ASEAN and EU-Vietnam partnerships. It is driven by mutual interest in key areas such as economy, investment, education, science and technology, tourism, and culture," Georgiev added.

In conclusion, the Minister stated that he hopes the strengthening of Bulgarian-Vietnamese relations will continue in the spirit of strong traditions, mutual understanding, and friendship.
