Minister Georg Georgiev Participates in EU-Israel Association Council Meeting

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, participated in the 13th meeting of the EU-Israel Association Council, which took place today in Brussels.
The Bulgarian Foreign Minister welcomed the EU's strategic dialogue with the State of Israel. "Israel is a key partner for the EU in the Middle East region. The Association Agreement is one of the pillars of our cooperation in all areas of mutual interest," Georg Georgiev emphasised in his speech during the Council.
The Association Council discussed the situation in the Middle East region, the situation in Gaza, as well as cooperation between the EU and Israel on global issues, with a focus on Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
