The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Elena Shekerletova, received today the copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of El Salvador to the Republic of Bulgaria, based in Ankara, Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Hector Enrique Calderon.
Deputy Minister Shekerletova congratulated Ambassador Calderon on his appointment and expressed confidence that his work in Bulgaria will contribute to promoting contacts and cooperation between the two countries in various areas of mutual interest. An overall positive assessment of the fruitful bilateral interaction within international organisations was shared.
During the meeting the current state and the prospects for further strengthening of the relations of friendship and cooperation between Bulgaria and El Salvador were discussed, and the need to intensify the bilateral political dialogue and to promote trade and economic ties was shared.
