Minister Teodora Genchovska participates in the opening of the summer tourist season in Golden Sands in the presence of the Diplomatic Corps

Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska and Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov opened the 2022 summer tourist season in Golden Sands resort and attended a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the resort. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasil Georgiev also attended the event.
At the invitation of the two ministers, more than 30 heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Bulgaria were guests at the event, who visited the Black Sea coast on a familiarization visit to become acquainted with the tourist potential of our country.
“The most important diplomacy is cultural diplomacy, and tourism is proof of its expression in every society,” said Teodora Genchovska in her speech to the guests at the event. According to her, tourism is a structurally decisive sector for our economy and its development is a strategic goal for our country.
Minister Genchovska described the presence of the heads of the diplomatic missions at the event as an expression of Bulgaria’s good relations of friendship and cooperation with countries around the world. “Thank you for your efforts and results achieved in the development of Bulgaria’s relations with your countries and the international organizations you represent,” our first diplomat further added.
