Deputy Minister Irena Dimitrova is on a working visit in Warsaw

Deputy Minister Irena Dimitrova held bilateral consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland with the Secretary of State of the Republic of Poland Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk on 19 April.

The main topic of the talks was the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and the refugee crisis. Different ways of countering were discussed, including strategic communications, ways of countering disinformation and a unified response within the EU and NATO. Ways to fully exploit the potential in the bilateral relations in specific areas were also discussed.

The two deputy ministers signed a new four-year Programme for cooperation between the governments of Bulgaria and Poland in the fields of culture, education and sport. The document foresees numerous cultural, educational and sports programmes.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Dimitrova and the accompanying delegation had a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Poland Margarita Ganeva and the team of the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw.
