The exhibition, which will run until 13 May 2022, features works by 25 artists from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria; the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece; the National University of Arts, Bucharest, Romania; and University of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia.

“This is an exhibition that illustrates how art may be the real answer to the role of tolerance and freedom of expression in the creative spirit. The diversity of the exposition shows the talent of young artists from the Balkan countries and the desire for common sharing. We believe that the exhibition “The Shared Art of the Balkans – Traditions and Contemporaneity” will visit other stages abroad so that together we can share the art of the Balkans.” – Mrs Snezhana Yoveva, Director of the Institute, said to the guests of the exhibition.

Dr Mila Stareishinska-Angelova, expert from the “13 Centuries Bulgaria” National Endowment Fund and art historian welcomed the guests and noted: “The International Youth Art Festival “River of Tolerance” is held for the fourth time and we are extremely happy that the results of the festival are presented today in this exhibition in front of you and show how the theme of tolerance unites artists and provokes them to share their talent. We are grateful for the excellent partnership with the State Institute for Culture and we hope that more audiences abroad and with your assistance will enjoy the exhibition.”
