Deputy Foreign Minister Zaritsa Dinkova received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand to Bulgaria, based in Brussels, Diana Reaich. Deputy Minister Dinkova stressed that our country highly values ​​friendly relations with New Zealand and stated Bulgaria's readiness to deepen political dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Among the topics of the meeting were the potential for development of trade and economic relations, the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, as well as cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.

"We are satisfied with the state of relations with New Zealand and are willing to work to further strengthen them. We welcome the steady progress in the negotiations on the EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, which Bulgaria has always supported, and we hope that this will lead to the strengthening of our economic ties," said the Deputy Minister.

During the conversation, the two countries expressed satisfaction with the sharing of common values ​​and similar interests in a wide range of areas, including science, climate and official development assistance.  The two countries shared a common opinion that the Bulgarian community in New Zwealand is a natural bridge to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.

Zaritsa Dinkova wished the newly appointed ambassador success in the implementation of her mission and assured her that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Bulgaria is ready to assist in the development of relations in all areas.
