An exhibition at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents the relations between Bulgaria and Spain

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Zaritsa Dinkova and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bulgaria Alejandro Polanco Mata visited the exhibition "Diplomacy through the hearts of two peoples", opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The documentary exhibition was realized jointly by the State Archives Agency and the Spanish Embassy in Bulgaria. It shows the social, human and emotional ties between our peoples, which date back to before the official establishment of diplomatic relations. The panels follow the work of Bulgarian and Spanish cultural and educational figures, who served as a conduit for the mutual interest in the history and literature of the two countries.
The exposition covers the history from the opening of diplomatic legations and honorary consulates to the signing of trade and economic agreements between Bulgaria and Spain. Official visits, political and diplomatic contacts are included.
The exhibition is realized with the assistance of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs and can be seen until 29th October 2021.
Bulgaria and Spain marked 110 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 8th May 2020.
