The Ambassador of Republic of Bulgaria in Oslo Vera Shatilova presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Iceland Gudni Johannesson. The ceremony took place on 22nd September 2021 at the Bessastadir Presidential Residence near the capital Reykjavik.
In the course of the ensuing conversation, the two agreed on the desire to intensify the bilateral dialogue and realize the available potential for cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Particular emphasis was placed on opportunities for partnership in the field of tourism and the transition to climate neutrality. The challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic were also discussed.
During the meeting, Ambassador Shatilova noted that the Bulgarian community in Iceland was very well received and expressed gratitude for the hospitality.
