Ekaterina Zaharieva presented awards to the best foreign students in Bulgaria

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva presented awards to the best foreign students within the competition "Student of the Year", organized by the National Representation of Student Councils in the Republic of Bulgaria.
"Never lose your youthful curiosity, because it is what makes us learn new things and rediscover ourselves", Zaharieva told the winners.
She shared that in many places around the world she meets people who have completed their higher education in Bulgaria. "They love our country at least as much as we do. These are some of the strongest Bulgarian ambassadors in the world", said our Foreign Minister at the ceremony in the Hall of Sofia University.
She pointed out that together with the Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev they are working to restore and increase scholarships for foreign students and called on the awarded students to promote Bulgaria in their homeland.
The first prize in the category "Foreign student in Bulgaria" was awarded to the student from Great Britain Prasida Rai, who is studying medicine in Bulgaria at the Medical University in Pleven. Stavros Gerasudis from Greece, student at the Thracian University in Stara Zagora, and Simona Miteva from the Republic of Northern Macedonia, who is studying at the University of National and World Economy, also received awards for their achievements in their studies.
