Ambassador Ivan Naydenov presented his credentials to the President of Portugal

During a solemn ceremony at the Belem Presidential Palace in Lisbon, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Portugal, Mr. Ivan Naydenov, presented his credentials to the President of the country Marcelo Rebelo de Souza.

After presenting his credentials, Ambassador Naydenov and the Portuguese President held a conversation in the presence of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Francisco Andre.

The state and prospects for further promotion and development of bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest were discussed. The possibilities for cooperation between Bulgaria and Portugal within the framework of international organizations, as well as in the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU were also outlined. Mutual desire was expressed for the deepening of bilateral political dialogue at the highest level.

The ceremony was held in strict compliance with anti-epidemic measures, with a shortened procedure and a reduced format of participants.

Ambassador Stoyan Mihaylov presented his credentials to the President of Argentina

On March 2, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Argentina, Stoyan Mihaylov presented his credentials to the President of Argentina Alberto Fernandez in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Felipe Sola

In the ensuing conversation, Ambassador Mihaylov greeted Alberto Fernandez on behalf of the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. Stoyan Mihaylov extended an invitation on behalf of the Bulgarian head of state to the President of Argentina to visit our country at a time convenient for him. For his part, Alberto Fernandez thanked for the invitation and said that he would be very pleased to visit Bulgaria.

Along with Ambassador Mihaylov, the ambassadors of Tunisia, Cuba, New Zealand, Pakistan, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Greece, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Panama, Germany, Vietnam, Portugal, Brazil, Haiti, the United Arab Emirates, as well as the papal nuncio, also presented their credentials.

Addressing the diplomats, President Fernandez said that Argentina is a country that "embraces the logic of multilateralism" and that relations with all nations of the world are very important to it.
