‘Please accept this commemorative medal on the occasion of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. It is special because the stars of Europe are engraved on it. It is my wish that before long, new stars will join them up there!’
It was with these words that Ekaterina Zaharieva, the Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, welcomed Aleksandar Pejović, the Minister for European Integration of Montenegro. The two ministers discussed the progress made by Montenegro in its chosen European path.
‘Your Presidency is very special. Everybody in the Western Balkans can feel that, and they thank you,’ Minister Pejović replied.
