Sofia Soloists perform in Ljubljana to usher in the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU

A concert by Sofia Soloists ensemble at congress center Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana marked the beginning of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Under the baton of Prof. Plamen Djurov, the orchestra performed works by Johann Sebastian  Bach, Franz Schubert, Marin Goleminov and Michail Pekov. Among the guests at the event were Alois Kovşca, Chairman of the National Council of the Slovenian Parliament, representatives of various other Slovenian institutions, of the diplomatic corps, members of the Bulgarian community in Slovenia and of the Slovene-Bulgarian Friendship Society.

Ambassador Dimitar Abadjiev presented the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, underscoring the important role of cultural traditions in the context of celebrating the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
