Ambassador Georgi Panayotov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN, presented his credentials to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The ceremony took place on September 9, 2016. At the following meeting, the UNSG noted the important role of Bulgaria for the work of the Organization. He underscored the traditionally good relations and the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and the UN and sent greetings to the President Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov.
