Update on the situation in the Czech Republic

According to the Embassy of Bulgaria in Prague, the weather situation in the city has normalised. The level of the river Vltava in Prague reached its critical point today at 6am local time, which was followed by a decrease and the risk of new flooding seems to be past.

Warning to travellers in Turkey

According to the Embassy of the Republicof Bulgariain Prague, the dire situation in the eight districts of the country hardest-hit by the floods caused by torrential rains continues. The most serious situation continues to be that in the regions near the headwaters of the rivers Vltava and Elba in South Bohemia.

Information about travelling in Greece during the upcoming holidays and non-working days

The Bulgarian Embassy in Greece says that on May 1 2013, declared by the Greek government to be a working day, the Pan-Hellenic Confederation of Workers and the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation intend to conduct 24-hour strikes. Throughout the day, from a minute past midnight to 12am, it is expected that all ports in Greece will not be working.

Incident involving employees of the Bulgarian Embassy in Yemen

On the morning of April 20 2013, two employees of the Bulgarian Embassy in Sana’a were attacked by local citizens outside the building of the diplomatic mission. Thanks to the rapid and adequate reaction of the staff, no one was injured in the incident.
