Bulgarian citizen injured in Chelyabinsk has died

Bulgarian citizen Stoyan Prodanov died in hospital in Chelyabinsk early this morning. He had been injured on June 1 2013 in an accident during welding operations on the fuel tank of his freight truck. He was admitted to the intensive care unit at CityHospitalnumber 6 in Chelyabinsk, with his condition described as very serious, with third and fourth-degree burns on up to 95 per cent of his skin.
The Embassy in Moscow is in constant contact with Yana Prodanova, the wife of Stoyan Prodanov, and the employers of the deceased, who are located in Chelyabinsk, and is providing full assistance in completion of the formalities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Stoyan Prodanov.
