The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the G. S. Rakovski National Defence College signed an agreement for cooperation in the field of sport
At a ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Georgi Georgiev and the Head of the G. S. Rakovski National Defence College Major-General Stayko Prokopiev signed an agreement for cooperation in the field of sport.
The agreement provides for the organisation of joint events such as training camps, competitions, etc. The purpose of the document is to encourage the participation of staff from both institutions in sporting events, team competitions, sports seminars, symposia and conferences.

Official Ceremony for the Presentation of Letters of Credence by Ambassador Tihomir Stoytchev to His Majesty King Charles III
On December 5, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E. Tihomir Stoytchev presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
During the meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, Ambassador Stoytchev emphasised the cultural ties and the long history of over 145 years of diplomatic relations that bind our two countries. The Joint Declaration signed in October 2023 elevated these relations to a "strategic partnership".

An EU General Affairs Council is held in Brussels

In the last for the year meeting of this format of the Council, under the presidency of Hungary, the main topics of discussion of the ministers were the conclusions for the regular meeting of the European leaders on 19 December this year, the conclusions on enlargement policy, EU—UK relations and the Future of Europe.
