Ministry of Foreign Affairs Strongly Condemns Attack on the Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje
On 11 January this year, an unidentified individual carried out an attack on the Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria strongly condemns this act against the building of Bulgaria’s diplomatic mission in Skopje – a symbol of Bulgarian statehood and the official presence of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Addresses the Hellenic Republic over Farmers’ Protests
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria has sent an official diplomatic note to the Hellenic Republic in connection with the closure of key road arteries and border crossing points during the protest actions of Greek farmers.
The note emphasises that the prolonged blocking of roads and border crossings has led to serious economic difficulties for Bulgarian transport companies, exporters and citizens, as well as to the disruption of the free movement of persons and goods guaranteed under European Union law.

The event took place on 12 December 2025, ahead of her assuming her new duties as Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Hungary. Symbolically, the reception was co-hosted by Dimitar Mihaylov, Advisor in the Minister’s Cabinet, Arabist and Bulgaria’s incoming Ambassador to Qatar. The Director General for Bilateral Relations, Todor Stoyanov—soon to head Bulgaria’s Embassy in Spain—was also in attendance.
