Bulgarian participation in meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Ministers for European Affairs of the South-East European Cooperation Process
On 5 June 2023, in Budva, within the framework of the Montenegrin Presidency of the South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), meetings of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Ministers of European Affairs of the participating countries were held. The Bulgarian delegation was led by Ms Slavena Gergova, Director General for European Affairs.

European ministers started preparations for the upcoming European Council meeting at the end of June 2023 and held hearings under the Article 7 procedures on the rule of law in Poland and Hungary.

Political consultations between Bulgaria and Latvia
On 23 May 2023, political consultations between Bulgaria and Latvia on topical issues on the bilateral and European agenda were held at the Foreign Ministry. On the Bulgarian side, the consultations were led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova, and on the Latvian side by Ingrida Levrence, Deputy State Secretary for European Affairs at the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
