Bulgaria participates in Jeddah consultations on basic principles for peace

The road to peace in Ukraine lies in restoring respect for the UN Charter and international law. This was the conclusion reached by the parties participating in the consultations on basic principles for peace held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the level of national security advisers and political advisers. The meeting is a follow-up to previous discussions in the G7, EU, Ukraine and partner countries format held in Hiroshima (19—21 May 2023) and Copenhagen (24 June 2023).

Foreign Ministry successfully evacuates four Bulgarian citizens from Niger with the help of Italy

After the coup d'état in Niger on 26 July and the closure of all borders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a signal from a Bulgarian travel agency about four compatriots in need of evacuation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken concrete actions in close coordination with EU partners to find options for the evacuation of Bulgarian citizens without risking their lives.
