Ukraine holds an important place in Bulgaria's foreign policy priorities - not just due to the geographic, linguistic, historical, cultural and religious proximity of our two nations, but also due to the large Bulgarian diaspora on Ukraine's territory. This is a real bridge that connects us, said Minister Daniel Mitov at the joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, who is paying an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart.

The Vienna Declaration on Nuclear Safety has been unanimously adopted by the contracting parties meeting at the Diplomatic Conference of the Convention on Nuclear Safety, held on 9 February in Vienna. The participating countries agreed that the Vienna Declaration is a strong political document reaffirming the priority of the strict implementation of the Convention on Nuclear Safety (CNS).

A ceremony on the validation of a postal card dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was held today at the Museum of Communications in Sofia. The postal card validation commemorates the date February 8, 1950, when Bulgaria recognizes the government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam as the country's legitimate government, which established the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
