Meeting of the Foreign Minister with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria

Minister Daniel Mitov met today with Gerhard Reiweger, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bulgaria, on the occasion of his final departure from the country. Minister Mitov thanked the Austrian diplomat for his active work to deepen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Reiweger noted the traditionally good cooperation between Bulgaria and Austria, emphasizing that his efforts had positive results due to the positive response from the Bulgarian side. He expressed confidence that the excellent collaboration will continue with his successor.
Minister Mitov and Ambassador Reiweger discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation in the field of economy and energy, as well as the perspectives to deepen political dialogue at high and the highest level. Among the topics of conversation was the European agenda and the expectations from the new European Commission. Minister Mitov and Ambassador Reiweger exchanged views on the Western Balkans, Ukrainian crisis, and EU-Russia relations.
