The Bulgarian government will financially support the implementation of two projects in the Republic of Macedonia

At the proposal ofthe Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Vigenin, the Council of Ministers adopted today a decree to finance two projects in the Republic of Macedonia, developed in cooperation with the Bulgarian Embassy in the country. The funds for their implementation are provided under the Official development assistance (ODA).

First is the project of Štip municipality for the construction of pedestrian bridgeon River Otinja worth 29 337 Levs,  aimed at improving the infrastructure in the central part of the city.

The second project is of the Special Primary School "Dr. Zlatan Srematc" in Skopje and is worth 28 544 Levs. Its implementation is related to the construction of a children’s playground and corrections-learning hall for education, rehabilitation and sports activities.Its purpose isto promote and achieve better environment for development, socialization and relaxation of 122 students with special needs.

The implementation of the two projects is an expression of  Bulgaria’s commitment in the field of international cooperation and is a prerequisite for the development of partnership relations with the Republic of Macedonia. They coincide with EU’s priorities regarding the Republic of Macedonia  and are affirmation of the  consistent  policy of Bulgaria in support the development of the civil society in the Republic of Macedonia and promotion of the country’s European integration.
