Minister Kristian Vigenin conferred the "Golden Laurel Bough" award on Ambassador Kaare Janson

Minister Kristian Vigenin conferred today the "Golden Laurel Bough" award on Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark and dean of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria Kaare Janson. The highest honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria is awarded to Ambassador Janson for his outstanding contribution to the development of Bulgarian-Danish relations and on the occasion of his forthcoming final departure from the country.

During the conversation Minister Vigenin and Ambassador Janson emphasized the excellent state of bilateral cooperation and the active political dialogue in recent years. Kristian Vigenin underlined the significance of the last visit of the Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt to Bulgaria.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister and the Danish diplomat also discussed the prospects of bilateral relations and topical issues on the European agenda. They pointed out that Bulgaria and Denmark share the view that the present moment is particularly important for building of the European institutions and the common European future.
